About
Modest Gains is a notebook for movement and food. It records what you did, and leaves the judging to you. There are no calorie targets, no macro goals, no streaks to protect, no scores, and nothing telling you that today should have looked different. Workouts • Build a session from 200 illustrated exercises, or add your own. • Track whatever suits the movement: weight and reps, reps alone, sets and effort, or time. • Group exercises into circuits and supersets. • Change the plan mid-session - swap, skip, reorder, add a set. Real days do that. Food and water • Log breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks from a growing catalogue of over 1,300 foods - groceries, restaurant items and supplements. • Add your own foods, and save meals you eat often. • Record water, and a short note about the day if you want one. Looking back • Personal bests per exercise, kept quietly, with the date each was first reached. • Open any past workout and see what you actually did. • Entries are snapshots. Nothing is silently rewritten later. NO ACCOUNT, NO CLOUD There is no sign-up, because there is no server. Modest Gains makes no network requests during use. Your notebook lives on your device, and nobody else can read it - including us. That comes with a trade worth knowing before you buy: your notebook will not appear on your other devices, and deleting the app can take it with you. You can save a copy to keep wherever you like, any time, from Settings. PAY ONCE One purchase. No subscription, no in-app purchases, no ads, and nothing held back to unlock later. Family Sharing is supported. A NOTE ON HEALTH Modest Gains is a notebook, not medical advice, and it will not tell you what to do with your body. Talk to your doctor before starting something new, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or have any concerns. Go at your own pace, and stop if something hurts.
