About
The machine won the last ten years. It's not getting the next ten. Stay Human gives you one card a day with one thing to do away from your phone. Most of them take a few minutes. A few cards from the free deck: Call the friend you laugh hardest with. Today. Not Sunday. Go outside for nine minutes. No phone. Hug someone for ten full seconds. Count silently. Catch today's sunset with your own eyes. Sit and do nothing for five minutes. That's it. That's the card. The card arrives sealed. You can see its suit and how long it takes, but you only find out what it asks when you hold it and turn it over. Once you've done it, hold again to mark it done and Done. is written across the card in its colour. Each day's card sits on a small pile of the ones you've already done, in the order you did them. If you want, share a card you've done and dare a friend to do it before midnight. They don't need the app to take the dare, and the link shows your first name if you've added one. Your run counts the days in a row. Every seventh card you do saves a quiet day, up to two, so missing a day doesn't end it. The order of your cards is drawn for you alone and gets reshuffled once you've been through them all. The library fills in as you go, sorted into five suits: Love, Body, Mind, Hands and Rebellion. Do eight cards in one suit and its number turns that suit's colour. There are widgets for the home and lock screen with today's card, today's task and your run. If you turn notifications on, you get one a day, at a random time inside the hours you pick. The first deck is free: twenty six cards, reshuffled each time you finish it. Six more decks can be bought once: Lovers, Entrepreneur, Friends & Social, Parents, Creative and Heartbreak, each with one rare card that shines in foil. There's no subscription. The Whole Deck gets you every deck, the twenty six lost cards from the starter deck and every future drop. There's no feed to scroll and no ads, and you don't need an account.
