HexaChip is a ROM-free native chiptune tracker that lets you take an LSDj song to iPhone or iPad and keep creating. It keeps the familiar Song → Chain → Phrase workflow, then adds touch-first editing, a spacious iPad interface, synchronized multi-project playback, and practical file interchange. Open a track made on hardware, edit it away from your setup, send it back to an LSDj-compatible format, or finish it as a WAV. READ, EDIT, AND RE-EXPORT LSDj FILES • Import: .sav, .srm, .lsdsng, .LSDPRJ, and .saw • Export: .sav, .lsdsng, .LSDPRJ, and .saw • Preserve the original bytes when re-exporting an unchanged file to the same format • Protect unrecognized regions as raw data after editing • Preserve the Kit bank contained in an .LSDPRJ when re-exporting FOUR PROJECTS. SIXTEEN CHANNELS. Add up to four LSDj projects to one rack and play them with a shared BPM on the same audio-buffer boundary. Layer as many as 16 P1, P2, WAV, and NOI channels, then set gain and mute per project. Save the complete rack as a HexaChip project or render the combined result as a stereo WAV. Pattern Brush adds range copy and paste, transpose, reverse, rotate, and clear operations. NATIVE SOUND DESIGN Synthesize Pulse 1, Pulse 2, Wave, and Noise with HexaChip's original real-time audio engine. Edit Envelope, Duty, Length, Pan, Table, Groove, and 32-sample 4-bit Wave data. Choose Authentic, Clean, or Extended Fidelity, then shape the output with DMG, MGB, CGB, and AGB Hardware models. MADE FOR IPHONE AND IPAD Use a focused tab layout on iPhone or a sidebar and wider editors on iPad. The live playhead follows Song Row, Chain, Phrase, and Step, then leaves the last position visible after stopping. Your work is autosaved on device. EXPORT OPTIONS • HexaChip project: preserves the multi-project rack and mix • WAV: 48 kHz, 16-bit stereo PCM • LSDj-compatible files: .sav, .lsdsng, .LSDPRJ, and .saw COMPATIBILITY NOTES The Kit bank in an .LSDPRJ is preserved for re-export, but ROM-specific Kits are not decoded or played by the native sound engine. Complete reproduction of every LSDj version and command is not guaranteed. Keep an untouched backup of important files.
