Vybe is a private link with the people who matter most, rated 13+: partner, best friend, family, a small group (a "group link"). No public profiles, no public feed. FIRST LAUNCH: a one-time consent screen for storing emotional data (Washington's My Health My Data Act). Tap "I agree, start my vybe". Declining also works. SIGN-IN: phone (six-digit SMS code via Twilio Verify), Apple, Google, or email. Apple, Google and email accounts are asked to verify a phone number after sign-up. Existing accounts, including the demo accounts, are exempt and sign straight in. DEMO ACCOUNT: applereviewtestaccount / review123! It has moments, friends, one active vybelink and a group link. To test deletion use applereviewdelete / delete123! Do not delete applereviewtestaccount or vybelinkreview (its vybelink counterpart). NEW IN 1.4.3, APP CLIP: invite links live on our domain, myvybe.app/i/CODE. On an iPhone without Vybe, the link shows an App Clip naming the sender; "get vybe and link with NAME" installs the app and links the two accounts after sign-in, no code to type. TO TEST: on an iPhone without Vybe, open https://myvybe.app/i/applereview26 (works 50 times through November). Tap the button, install, sign in as applereviewtestaccount; it is linked with cgubish automatically. The clip makes one network call (the public invite preview) and stores nothing but the invite code in the app group. ALSO NEW: the in-app camera captures at full quality; words can be typed onto a photo before sending (baked into the image); Vybe Events, an in-app door to two real-world contests we run in Seattle (a dinner and a brunch for one group of friends). Entry is a short written text plus optional photos, judged by us; no purchase; 18+ Washington residents only; official rules are shown in the app and state that Apple is not a sponsor (guideline 5.3.4). Under-18 accounts never see the Events tile. THE GATE: a brand-new account sees an optional contacts step and a "your people" screen; the app opens once the person sends one ask or accepts a request. The demo account skips this. STRUCTURE: Home holds vybelinks and group links. A vybelink is a private space for two people who both opted in: a daily photo check-in that unlocks when both post, a one-tap "pulse", a calendar, a monthly recap. A group link is the same for a small group, with chat and roll call. Friends shows accepted friends' posts only. Moments is private journaling. Yap is pseudonymous short posts, 18+. Profile holds a "secret wall" of friends' notes the owner approves first. AGE SAFETY: birthdate required on every sign-up path; under-13s cannot register. Under-18s never appear in discovery or search and their profiles return not-found to non-friends. Yap and Events are 18+ by birthdate; the review account is over 18. USER CONTENT: report and block on every surface ("..." on profiles and posts, the dots beside chat messages). Yap posts, secret-wall notes and custom vybe words pass an abuse classifier (toxic-bert) on our servers before publication; words typed onto photos are kept as text for review. Objectionable material is removed within 24 hours per our Terms; safety@myvybe.app. EMOTIONAL DATA: never sold, never used for ads, never shared with outside AI. Full deletion: Settings and privacy, Account and data, Delete my account. PERMISSIONS: push, camera, photo library, microphone, optional contacts (hashed on device, matched in memory, never stored). No location, no ATT, no tracking. PURCHASES: none. No IAP or subscriptions. The shop is disabled. EXTERNAL SERVICES: Railway, Cloudflare R2, Stream, Twilio Verify, Firebase, Giphy SDK, iTunes Search API, Expo/EAS, Sentry (PII off), PostHog (user id only). Two open-source classifiers run on our own servers; no third-party AI receives user content; no generative AI. TESTED ON: iPhone XR through 17 Pro Max, iOS 18.7.6 to 26.6.
