Version 2.1 is the biggest iPad update yet – and it brings Siri, better folders, and new feed recommendations. New on iPad • Three columns side by side: sidebar, article list, and reader. Switch the column mode and drag the widths to fit. • Manage feeds and folders right from the sidebar. • Settings now open in the right-hand column. Siri, Spotlight, and Shortcuts • Show unread articles, summarize or translate an article, mark as read, save for later, and add feeds – by voice or as a shortcut. • Available in German, English, Spanish, and French. Folders that do more • Change a folder's name and color at any time. • Narrow the home screen down to a single folder. • Sort all articles in a folder or mark them as read in one go. • Remove a feed from a folder without deleting it. iCloud • Signing in with Apple restores your feeds, folders, name, and profile picture on a new device. • Changes to feeds and folders show up on your other devices without restarting the app. New feed recommendations • Vetted sources in five categories, matched to your device language. English sources can be added on top. • More feeds can be subscribed to, including RDF feeds and ones with unusual date formats. Also • Six accent colors to choose from. • Compact or comfortable article lists. • Deleting a feed now always asks for confirmation. • Support for iPhone Duo, open and folded. • Smoother scrolling in the reader and on the home screen, plus many fixes for cover images and large text sizes.
