About
In 2025, I first stepped onto the red earth of the Serengeti, and that vast grassland changed me completely. I saw prides of lions, the wildebeest migration, and beautiful birds—yet I felt deeply powerless: I couldn’t properly record my sightings, remember the names, or reach any knowledge offline. In that moment, I decided to create Safari Lingo: an app that breaks down the barriers of language and connectivity, so that every lover of the grasslands can truly “read” this magical land. 【Safari Lingo: Your Ultimate Grassland Encyclopedia】 SafariLingo = Safari (the journey into the wild) + Lingo (language) Our mission: with 300+ animal species, rich information, and powerful filtering tools, to make the “language of the journey into the wild” something everyone can understand. 1. A Vast Database × Powerful Filters: Find the animal you want in seconds It covers almost every mammal, bird, and reptile of the Serengeti—virtually everything you might encounter on your Safari. Filter by animal type, sighting status, and the Big Five; sort by initial letter or rarity level; and pinpoint your target in an instant. 2. In-Depth Animal Information: The leap from “recognizing” to “understanding”! Every animal has a detailed profile, including: taxonomic information (class, order, family), physical traits and key identification points, ecology and behavior (habitat, diet, activity), conservation information (IUCN status), an observation guide, and professional photography tips. You can even play real animal calls and get to know the grassland through your ears. 3. Record the Trail of Your Sightings Spotted an animal you love? A single tap lets you record the place, time, and photos. The app can automatically read the location from your photos’ EXIF data, or you can manually log your current GPS position. It also automatically tallies how many species you’ve discovered and creates your very own Safari diary, so you can easily share your adventures with friends after you return home. 4. Achievement System and Statistics Review your sighting overview and your unlocking progress in each category, generate a personalized achievement poster, and share it with a single tap—capturing the one-of-a-kind story between you and the grassland. 5. Support for 9 Languages English, Chinese, Hindi, Spanish, French, Arabic, German, Japanese, and Korean. All your multilingual needs met at once. 【Special Thanks】 We extend our heartfelt gratitude to: • Mara Nature Center - For the professional guidance and the rich animal knowledge base they provided, which made this app possible. • Steve - Perhaps the finest guide in the Serengeti. It was his passion, his expertise, and his deep love for the grassland that let me understand this land more profoundly in every thrilling moment. Safari Lingo could not have been born without his inspiration. • Yu Junfeng - Scientific expedition leader for Chinese National Geography. He corrected a great many data-accuracy issues, making the product far more scientific.
