About

Every other ear-training app asks you to tap a button labelled C#. This one asks you to play the note. That is not a cosmetic difference. Picking the right answer out of twelve is a quiz. Finding the note on a keyboard is an act — the same act a musician performs, with the same uncertainty and the same payoff when it lands. FOUR WAYS TO TRAIN 1 note — hear a note, play it back. The original app's mode, unchanged in spirit. 3 notes — hear a sequence, play it back in order. Run and record in the header, exactly as they were. Ear — which note was that? Between questions a few seconds of unrelated tones play, so the previous note is not still sitting in memory and the answer has to come from recognition rather than from comparison. It is uncomfortable, and that is the entire point. Note Rain — notes fall toward the keyboard. Play the piece in time, build a run, and hear the accompaniment grow with the multiplier. See the notes, or switch them off and find them by ear. DAILY PITCH One puzzle a day, the same for everyone, three notes and five guesses. A grid to share when you solve it. No account, no nagging notifications. TWELVE LIGHTS The app's only scoreboard is twelve lights, one per note. They come on when a note is reliable, and they never go out. No percentage, no grade, nothing that decays because you were away for a week. HONEST ABOUT WHAT THIS IS Absolute pitch in adults is contested. In published training studies roughly one in five to one in three committed adults reached criterion, and the average was about seven of twelve pitch classes after some twenty-one hours of practice. This app does not promise more than that. What it does promise is that the training is built on what was actually measured: masked intervals, feedback half a second after the answer, and pitch class rather than pitch height. TWENTY-ONE LANGUAGES, AND YOUR COUNTRY'S SONGS FIRST The interface comes in twenty-one languages and switches with one tap inside the app, not three screens deep in Settings. Note naming is a separate choice: H or B, do-re-mi or C-D-E. And the Note Rain repertoire knows where you are, so the tunes you grew up with are at the top of the list. FREE, AND ONE PURCHASE Every mode, the whole daily puzzle, all languages and all accessibility are free forever. Pro is a one-time unlock that widens the pitch pool. No subscription, no currency, no lives to buy, nothing that disappears if you stop playing. BUILT TO BE PLAYED Landscape on iPhone, because seven white keys in portrait put the black keys under Apple's 44-point floor. Real piano geometry — the black keys are not evenly spaced, because they are not on a piano. Polyphonic, so two fingers give two notes. VoiceOver on every key. H or B, do-re-mi or C-D-E: four naming systems, because in Sweden the note is called H and an app that says B has taught the wrong name for two notes out of twelve.

What's new · 2.0

Note Rain — falling notes, real pieces, and a band that grows with your run. Twenty-one languages, switchable inside the app. Note naming stays your own choice. Songs from your own country come first in the Note Rain list. Stars unlock new songs and new looks. None of it costs money. The reward is the note itself, harmonised — and a miss now plays you the answer. A new icon: a keyboard with one key sounding.
