About
Marine Taxa Atlas is a marine organism name verification tool designed for diving, tide watching, and shore surveys. The data is sourced from the open REST interface of the World Marine Species List and is used in conjunction with local selected lists. You can search for accepted names by scientific name, common name, or Aphia number, view classification elements, synonyms, common names of various languages, geographical distribution, sub elements, literature sources, and external identifiers. Write on-site records along with photos into diving and tidal logs, establish selectable observation lists, and compare two classification records or batch proofreading lists.
