About
“Brains are for thinking, not for storage” “You’re smarter than a goldfish, probably” “Checking memory… no response” Yes, the app talks like that. Hmm is a memory list. That’s it. You write down what you don’t want to forget, and then you don’t have to carry it around in your head. It looks like a chat, just without anyone on the other end. Your thoughts land in bubbles, newest at the bottom, right above where you type. The keyboard is ready the moment you open the app, so the thought doesn’t get away. What you get • A text field at the bottom, where your thumb is • Your thoughts in bubbles, with a line for each new day • Press and hold a thought to edit or forget it • A bit of small talk from the app, which you’re free to ignore What you don’t get Checkboxes, deadlines, reminders, folders, tags, accounts or subscriptions. There are plenty of to-do apps. Hmm just wants you to remember the milk. Everything stays on your phone Nothing gets sent anywhere. No account, no tracking, no server. What you write is yours. By the way, your brain called. It wants a vacation.
