About
PyLuca is a terminal for a small programming language written in Tamil script. It reads like Python: variables, arithmetic and printing, spelled in Tamil. Type at the $ prompt with the on-screen Tamil keyboard or a hardware keyboard. Press Shift+Return or the ▶ key to run what you typed. The output appears right under it, and a fresh prompt follows, so a whole session stays on screen as you work, like a shell. ஓ("வணக்கம் உலகம்") prints வணக்கம் உலகம், hello world. Tamil letters, combined vowel signs and emoji are drawn at their true widths, so the code looks the way it is written. PyLuca is bilingual. Press ⇧ and then தமிழ் to switch to English mode, with regular Python spelling such as print; தமிழ் alone switches back. No account, no network connection, no data collected.
