Emberline

About

Rotate an expiring item in Kit and its expiry is re-dated. Finish a drill and it goes to the log and reschedules. Emberline turns these household chores into one readiness score from 0 to 100, with next actions such as expiring kit, overdue drills or stale plans. Kit starts with 140 sample items you can search, filter by health, category or bag, sort and group by bag. Family holds written plans per hazard, with near and far meeting points, a shelter spot and tickable steps, plus a contact list you can call from. Drills runs a stopwatch with pause and resume, a plan checklist and a debrief with participants, a 1 to 5 rating and notes, then shows duration and hazard trends. Hazards shows USGS earthquake feeds, active weather.gov alerts for your home state and an Open-Meteo 7-day forecast, each stamped live or cached. Home region is chosen from 18 US cities, so alerts are US-specific. Mesh lets phones on the same Wi-Fi network swap "I'm safe" or "Need help" check-ins and critical-kit lists with no internet. Outage probe tests your router and a public host, returns a verdict such as Internet provider outage or Local Wi-Fi failure, and one tap logs it to the Diary. The Field manual adds 6,052 searchable entries that work offline, including supply sizing, drill scripts, heat-index and wind-chill tables. Records are stored on the device, with JSON export and import. Sample data can be removed. iPhone, iOS 18.0 or later, English only.
