NoobCube solves a Rubik’s cube with a user. Every step is spoken aloud, and the cube on screen shows an arrow for the way to turn. A child who cannot read yet can still follow. Show the cube to the camera. All six sides are read, then the solve goes one stage at a time: daisy, white cross, white face, middle layer, and on through the yellow top until the last pieces are home. Two ways to be helped: Show me each move. One turn, one sentence, one arrow. Say “next” when it’s done, or “back” to undo a tap. I’ll do this bit myself. Hear what the stage is for, then let the camera look again when it’s finished. Three speeds, remembered for next time: Beginner. Layer by layer, starting with the daisy. Seven short sequences to learn. Faster. White cross straight on the bottom, then the first two layers a pair at a time, then the top in four looks. Speedcuber. The same start, with the top finished in two looks: OLL and PLL. Look at the cube again at any point. Stages already finished stay finished. Leave for home in the middle, and the next launch can carry on from there. The camera looks at the cube. The microphone and speech recognition listen only for “next” and “back”.
