About

DessinMate is an iPhone drawing journal for art school preparation and everyday drawing practice. Keep your work, drawing time and observations together. CAPTURE AND ADJUST Photograph your drawing using a paper-frame guide, or import it from Photos. Adjust the four corners, perspective, rotation and aspect ratio before saving. Choose color or monochrome, and re-crop saved drawings from the original image. A subject name is optional. Add drawing time down to the second, paper size, paper type, tags and up to three reference photos. KEEP CRITIQUE FEEDBACK WITH YOUR WORK Circle the part of a drawing discussed in a critique and save your teacher's advice right there. Review the feedback when you prepare your next drawing. Color-coded numbers organize your notes, and dragging a number moves its outlined region. Add up to 32 region notes per drawing. Notes are hidden by default in gallery details; show them whenever you want to review the feedback. REVIEW YOUR PRACTICE Browse a two-column gallery that preserves each drawing's proportions, with numbered thumbnails. Swipe between drawings in the detail view, filter by tag, paper or date, and select multiple records to delete. Switch to the drawing calendar at the top left of Gallery to browse by day. TIME YOUR WORK Start, pause, resume and reset a stopwatch directly on Home. It keeps time in the background and supports Live Activities on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. After 12 hours of elapsed drawing time, an optional reminder lets you pause and adjust the time. When you record a drawing, the elapsed time is carried into its record. Resetting requires confirmation. CHECK YOUR COMPOSITION Use the rear-camera viewfinder to check shapes and proportions. Switch available lenses, adjust zoom, choose a paper ratio or grid, flip the image horizontally or vertically, view it in black and white, or freeze the camera. Controls rotate with your iPhone. SEE YOUR PROGRESS Your drawings build a rotating 3D paper stack, with your latest drawing on top. Include drawings made before you installed the app in your total. Set multiple goal dates and see the days remaining on Home, or hide them in Settings. DESSINMATE PREMIUM A one-time in-app purchase removes all ads and unlocks Home Screen widgets for your drawing count and goal dates. Stopwatch Live Activities and Dynamic Island remain available without Premium. Available in Japanese and English, with light and dark appearances. Add your own paper sizes, paper types and tags in Settings. Drawings are stored on your iPhone by default. Optional iCloud sync in Settings keeps drawings, original images, reference photos, notes, goal dates, paper and tag settings, and your previous drawing count in sync across iPhones using the same Apple Account. An internet connection and available iCloud storage are required. New-entry limits: 999 drawings, 10 goal dates, 256 tags, 64 paper sizes and 64 paper types. You can enter up to 500 drawings made before using the app. The free version includes ads. Available camera lenses and Dynamic Island support depend on your iPhone. Notifications require permission.
