Elbowroom: Photo Cleaner

About

Elbowroom finds what is filling your photo library and helps you clear it in minutes: big videos, near-identical shots, old screenshots, screen recordings and Live Photos. You see every photo before anything is deleted. Pay once. No subscription, no account, no ads. Everything runs on your iPhone, and nothing is uploaded. What it finds • Large videos, sorted by size. Delete them, or compress them to HEVC and keep the date, location and albums. • Similar shots and bursts, grouped like a contact sheet. The sharpest photo is suggested as the keeper, and you can pick another. • Duplicate photos: exact copies saved twice. • Blurry photos that are both out of focus and poorly exposed. • Screenshots and screen recordings, grouped by month. • Live Photos: keep the photo and drop the short video, which often saves about half the space. Made to be trusted • Nothing is selected for you without a reason, and favorites are never selected. • Tap any photo or video to see it full screen before you decide. • Every deletion goes through Apple's own confirmation, and deleted items stay in Recently Deleted for 30 days. • Sizes that can't be measured exactly are marked with ≈. • After each cleanup, Elbowroom tells you plainly that your iPhone gets the space back once Recently Deleted is emptied, and shows you how. Private by design Your photos are analysed on your iPhone and never leave it. Elbowroom has no servers, no analytics and no tracking, and works in airplane mode. App Store privacy label: Data Not Collected. Free and paid Screenshots, screen recordings, duplicates and deleting large videos are free with no limits. One purchase adds similar shots, blurry photos, video compression and Live Photo stills, with Family Sharing. Each of these can be tried free first. iCloud Photos Deleting from your iPhone also removes the item from iCloud and your other devices. Clearing large videos and duplicates can help your library fit a smaller iCloud plan. What no app can clean System Data, Messages and other apps' storage can't be cleaned by any app. Elbowroom explains what you can do about them in Settings.
