Petite Tales is a cozy bedtime-story app for families: gentle tales from around the world, painted and read aloud by Ollie the story owl, with new stories that star your child. Every story winds down as it goes. When it ends, Ollie yawns, puts on his nightcap, and the screen fades to dark. Goodnight, little one. A LIBRARY FROM AROUND THE WORLD More than 100 gentle retellings of well-loved tales: Aesop's fables, the Brothers Grimm, Hans Christian Andersen, the Jataka tales, the Panchatantra, Anansi and folk stories from many lands. Each is a few minutes long, painted like a picture book and written for ages 3 to 7: no villains who stay mean, no peril, no scary endings. ONE FREE STORY EVERY WEEK Every family gets one library tale a week, picked at random and theirs to replay every night that week. Read aloud, fully illustrated, no account needed. YOUR CHILD, THE STAR OF THE STORY With Petite Tales Plus, make brand-new stories where your child is the hero: their name, their look, their cuddly companion, the things they love and a gentle lesson you choose. Their pictures are painted from choices you make, never from a photo. The app has no camera or photo access at all. READ ALOUD, READ TOGETHER OR JUST LISTEN • Ollie reads aloud and the pages turn by themselves, even with the screen locked • Read together shows big words and full-screen pictures for a grown-up to read • Just listen hides the words so the device can be put down • Personal stories in 24 languages, with 6 gentle voices and 4 reading styles, from a hushed whisper to a fireside storyteller • The library is in English, and a few tales are also in Spanish • A Home Screen widget with a library tale for each day MADE FOR BEDTIME Dusk colors keep the room dim. Turn on "One story a night" and, after "The end", another story needs a grown-up until morning. Purchases, Settings, making a story, reports and links out of the app sit behind a grown-ups' check: tap three numbers spelled out in words. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No ads, no analytics, no advertising identifier • No account needed. Signing in with Apple, Google or email is optional, so your stories can follow you to a new device • Never a photo of your child • Library tales play offline once opened • Delete a story, a child, all your family's data or your account in Settings HOW THE STORIES ARE MADE Library tales are our own retellings of public-domain stories. Their text, pictures and narration are made with AI and reviewed by people before they are published. Personal stories are written, painted and narrated by AI (Google's Gemini) from the details you choose, with safety filters on. No person reviews them before you see them, so we suggest a grown-up reads a new one first. Every book has a "Report this story" button for grown-ups. PETITE TALES PLUS Plus opens the whole library and adds 10 new personal stories a month: $7.99 a month or $79.99 a year. The yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers, including 3 personal stories. Once a month's stories are used, an extra story is $1.99, and extra stories never expire. Prices are in US dollars; your local price is shown before you buy. Sign in, or tap Restore Purchases with the same Apple Account, and Plus comes with you to another iPhone or iPad. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel in your Apple Account settings (Settings > your name > Subscriptions). Cancel during the free trial and you won't be charged.
