Was a photo captured by a camera, generated with AI, or edited later? The pixels alone may not tell you, but the file can contain Content Credentials, C2PA markers, editing software, location, device, and time clues. ScrubPic checks supported provenance signals and metadata, turns them into a readable report, then creates a cleaned copy. Your original is never overwritten, no account is required, and photo content stays on your iPhone. Batch export uses photo credits; one completed rewarded ad adds 5 credits. Photo content and scan results are never sent to the ad provider. ScrubPic can only identify supported markers that are actually present in the file. No detected AI or provenance signal does not prove that an image was not AI-generated or edited; this is not a pixel-based authenticity classifier. Removing supported metadata also does not make a photo completely anonymous.
