SpeakThis turns written scripts into spoken audio on your Mac, iPhone, or iPad. Choose a voice, adjust its delivery, and save a WAV file when it sounds right. Preview with built-in samples, then replay a saved preview instantly when the text and voice settings have not changed. Add prompts to a render queue or import a segmented script to generate sections separately. Bracketed pause cues add silence between phrases. Voice models download only when you choose them. After setup, speech generation runs locally without an account or API key. Download sizes are shown before you begin. iPhone and iPad offer compact English narration with Pocket TTS, Kokoro ONNX and Piper. On iPad with at least 8 GB of memory, optional Pro models add multilingual curated voices and voice design. On Mac, SpeakThis also supports creating a voice from a written description and using a reference recording for a cloned voice. These modes require their own optional model downloads.
