About
Turn a restaurant bill into a complete, signed German business meal receipt (Bewirtungsbeleg) as a PDF in about a minute – right on your iPhone or iPad. Made for anyone who claims business meals in Germany, including expats and freelancers. Scan the receipt, take a photo or open it from Files: Bewirtly reads the restaurant's name and address, the date, the amount, a printed tip and the VAT lines. You add the participants and the business occasion, sign with your finger, done. The original receipt is attached as page 2 of the PDF. • EVERY REQUIRED FIELD – place (restaurant and address), date, participants including the host, occasion and amount: bill and tip listed separately, the total added up correctly. • A SPECIFIC OCCASION – a bare "Geschäftsessen" (business meal) is not enough for the German tax office. Bewirtly refuses it and shows what a specific occasion looks like. • TSE CHECK – Bewirtly checks whether the receipt carries the till's security module data (TSE) and warns when it is missing: if the restaurant uses an electronic till, only a till-printed, TSE-secured receipt counts. • HELPFUL HINTS – over 250 euros (host's name, restaurant's tax number), a tip not printed on the bill, receipts that arrive as PDF. • SIGNATURE – electronic, with the creation and signing times on the document; change anything afterwards and you sign again. Or print it and sign by hand. • SELF-ISSUED RECEIPT (EIGENBELEG) – for a small expense whose receipt was lost: date, amount, payee, purpose, reason and signature. • QUICK NEXT TIME – people from earlier receipts, your name, company and city are suggested. • PRIVATE – everything happens on your device. No account, no upload, no ads. Every value read from the receipt is a suggestion: you check and edit everything in the form. The document itself is in German, as the tax office expects; the app speaks German and English. Bewirtly follows the requirements in Germany (§ 4 (5) sentence 1 no. 2 EStG, R 4.10 EStR). Austria and Switzerland have different rules. Not tax advice: whether and how much you can deduct is for the tax office to decide. Scanning, filling in, signing and the PDF preview cost nothing. A one-time purchase unlocks export: email it, save it to Files, print it. Questions: overlapmarr@gmail.com
