Umbral is a spirit box for your phone that records the whole session. A spirit box sweeps through fragments of sound so quickly that voice-like responses seem to surface from the noise. Investigators ask a question, wait, and listen. Umbral gives you that instrument, tuned to sound like real hardware, and then helps with what comes after: it captures the session, marks the moment something answered, and hands you a clip you can share. EVERY SESSION RECORDED Press start and Umbral records the full output mix automatically. No second device, no Voice Memos running on a friend's phone. Sessions are saved with date, duration and the location you name. MARK THE MOMENT Something answered? Hit MARK. A timestamp drops into the recording. Afterwards, every marker becomes a trimmable clip you can send to Messages, save to Files, or post, in a few taps. A SWEEP THAT NEVER CUTS OFF Set the sweep rate in milliseconds, forward or reverse, just like the hardware. Fragments always play to completion and overlap naturally. Slow the sweep down and you can actually hear what came through.
