H-Notes helps you build a calm, complete, dated record of harassment, bullying or mobbing at work — every incident, the proof that goes with it, the people involved and the steps you have taken. When the day comes to speak to HR, a union, a lawyer or a court, you will not be searching your memory. You will have the file. FREE, AND STAYING FREE Keeping a record must never depend on what you can afford. Writing incidents down, attaching evidence, the PDF timeline, encrypted backups and sharing any single file are free, without limits, without a trial and without advertising — and they will stay free. NOTHING LEAVES YOUR DEVICE • No account, no sign-in, no cloud, no servers of ours. • No analytics, no telemetry, no tracking, no advertising. The app never makes an outbound connection. • We hold no data about you, because we never receive any. There is nothing for us to lose, leak or hand over. • Your passphrase (Argon2id) protects a key that encrypts the database and every attached file with AES-256-GCM. Face ID or Touch ID unlocks it. • Kept out of iCloud and device backups. The screen is covered in the app switcher. • A second passphrase opens a separate, ordinary-looking notepad — so handing someone your phone need not mean handing over your record. A RECORD THAT STANDS UP • Two timestamps on every entry: when it happened, and when you wrote it down. • Attach photos, video, audio, e-mails, screenshots and documents. Files are kept exactly as received, byte for byte, with SHA-256 and MD5 hashes, so anyone can check that nothing was altered. • Every change is written into a tamper-evident hash chain that you can verify yourself at any time. • Exhibit numbers are issued once and never renumbered. • Lock an entry to freeze what you wrote; later corrections are added as dated addenda, never quiet edits. • Keep track of the people involved, their role and organisation, of what you did about each incident and of what came of it. • Transcribe voice recordings on the device itself. Nothing is uploaded. PREMIUM — PAY WHAT YOU CAN Premium adds the legal evidence bundle, a local web server for working from your own computer on your own Wi-Fi, on-device summaries and unlimited transcription. One purchase, never a subscription, and you choose the price: enough to cover the cost, a fair price, or pay it forward so the app stays free for someone who cannot pay at all. H-Notes does not give legal advice, and the rules on recording conversations differ from country to country. The app keeps the record; the judgement stays with you and your lawyer.
