Cosmic Distance

About

Ever wondered how far away the objects around us in space really are? Cosmic Distance lets you explore the changing distances between Earth and objects across our solar system and beyond. See the current distance, how long light takes to travel between us, and how that distance changes over time. Explore planets, the Moon, the Sun, stars and other cosmic objects with clear visualisations and useful distance measurements. **Explore Space** • See the current distance to each object • View distances in kilometres and astronomical units • See how long light takes to travel between Earth and each object • Explore how distances change throughout the year • View radial velocity where available • Compare nearby and distant objects • Explore visual representations of each cosmic object The app is designed to make the enormous scale of space easier to understand, from our nearest neighbours to objects many light-years away. Whether you're interested in astronomy, space exploration, or simply want to know where everything is right now, Cosmic Distance gives you a simple way to explore our place in space.
