About
Keep recall information and your next steps in one place. Recall Desk helps you check U.S. household-product and food recalls, search drug recalls and shortages, and keep track of the products you use. CHECK OFFICIAL SOURCES Browse CPSC household-product notices, FDA food and drug information, and official USDA FSIS food notices. Read reported hazards, affected product details, remedies, and retailer or distribution information when the source provides it. Open the official notice for the latest instructions. SCAN AND SAVE Scan a grocery barcode to look up suggested product details. Read text from a label photo, or scan a printed receipt and review the detected foods before adding them to your list. Edit suggestions and add lot numbers, package dates, and model details yourself. Photos are processed on your device. WATCH YOUR SAVED ITEMS Choose saved-item monitoring in Alerts. Check your in-app inbox and optionally enable email or iPhone notifications for new possible matches. See each item’s background-check status. Checks are queued about hourly; source outages, queue delays, connectivity, and device settings can affect updates and delivery. FOLLOW THROUGH Save a recall case, compare your product with the notice, record contact details and reference numbers, and track your next steps toward a return, refund, repair, or replacement. ONE ACCOUNT ACROSS DEVICES Create an account with your email and password, use an email code, or use Sign in with Apple on iPhone. Existing customers can connect Apple from Account after signing in with their existing email. Use the same Recall Desk account on your iPhone and at recalldesk.me. Your saved groceries, products, cases, and alert inbox stay with your account. An in-app guide explains how to get started. Account creation and internet access are required. RECALL DESK PLUS Basic recall searches and manually saved groceries, products, and cases are free. Optional monthly and yearly auto-renewing subscriptions provide receipt scanning and automatic monitoring of supported saved food and household products, including optional email and iPhone alerts. Both plans provide the same features. Prices are shown in the app before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Your subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel your subscription in Apple account settings. Use Restore purchases in Account to recover access for the original Recall Desk account. Deleting your Recall Desk account does not cancel your Apple subscription. KNOW THE LIMITS A possible match is a suggestion, not confirmation that your exact item is recalled. No match is not an all-clear. Data can be incomplete or delayed. Barcode and receipt recognition may need correction; package lot and date codes still matter. Coverage includes U.S. CPSC, FDA, and cached official USDA FSIS notices for meat, poultry, and certain egg products. When full USDA data is unavailable, recent USDA headlines and brief summaries via CDC support name searches only, without complete history or barcode/lot matching. Refresh status and incomplete coverage are shown in the app. Drug recalls and shortages can be searched, but medicine monitoring and shortage notifications are not enabled. Speak with your pharmacist or prescriber before changing or stopping a prescribed medicine. Recall Desk is an independent app from Midpoint Software Group and is not affiliated with any government agency.
