About

Your studio, at your fingertips. Tactus turns your iPhone or iPad into a wireless control surface for your music software. No cables. No dongles. Nothing extra to install on your computer. Pair once over Bluetooth and your device becomes faders, knobs, pads and keys - ready to play. FOUR WAYS TO PLAY Perform — Your everyday panel. Faders and knobs for the controls you reach for most, an XY pad for expression, drum pads, a keyboard and transport, all on one screen. Keys — A full-width keyboard with pitch bend and modulation. Play softly near the top of the keys, harder toward the bottom. Jump octaves without breaking your flow. Pads — Sixteen responsive pads in a familiar drum-rack layout. Brush one for a ghost note, strike it for an accent. Console — Eight channel strips with volume, pan, mute, solo and record arm, plus a master fader. Move through your session a bank at a time to reach sixty-four tracks. MADE FOR REAL PLAYING Ten fingers at once. Ride two faders, hold a chord and hit a pad — nothing drops out from under you. Velocity comes from where you strike, so the same pad can whisper or shout. Full-screen mode hands a page the whole display when you want nothing in the way. And when a note hangs mid-take, one button silences everything. PER-NOTE EXPRESSION (MPE) Switch it on and every note you hold takes a voice of its own. Slide one finger sideways and only that note bends — the rest of the chord stays exactly where you put it. Slide up and down to open out its tone. This is the kind of playing an ordinary keyboard cannot do, and it works with any music software that supports MPE. The keyboard can change shape for it too: a dark, unbroken surface, better suited to sliding and bending than to striking. Use a USB cable or Wi-Fi for this — there is more going through the connection than Bluetooth comfortably carries. FITS THE SETUP YOU ALREADY HAVE Play, stop and record work straight away in software that expects them, and every other control can be taught to anything you like in seconds. Bluetooth isn't the only way in. Tactus is an ordinary MIDI device over USB and over Network MIDI on Wi-Fi as well - both lower latency than Bluetooth, both set up on the computer rather than in the app. Connect either one and Tactus starts sending, with nothing to change here. WHAT YOU'LL NEED • A computer running music software that accepts Bluetooth MIDI. Macs pair in a couple of taps. • iOS 17 or later • iPhone plays in landscape. iPad works in any orientation. Tactus is a controller: it plays your instruments and moves your mixer. The sound comes from the music software you already use. No account. No subscription. Nothing collected about you.
