About
Dub'Up is a dubbing game to play with friends. Pick a scene from the catalogue, take a character each, and record your voice in turn. The app puts it all together, and you discover the dubbed video as a group. That is where the fun is: nobody knows what the others did until the reveal. THREE WAYS TO PLAY Dub Classic — one voice each on a scene, in turn, then watch the cut together. 2 to 4 players, around a single device or each from home. Dub Challenge — the host secretly rewrites the dialogue. Nobody knows what the others were given until the reveal. Dub Battle — teams, a theme card drawn from the wheel, the same scene for everyone, and the audience votes. 2 to 6 teams. WHAT'S INSIDE • A catalogue of short scenes played by real actors, with the acting direction shown under every line. • The microphone only opens for the length of one line, and only when you start the take yourself. • The edit happens on its own: your voice replaces the character's, the rest of the soundtrack stays. • A showcase to publish your best takes, watch everyone else's, and vote. • Vertical export, ready for your feeds. NO ACCOUNT NEEDED Start a game and that's it. An account is optional: it only serves to find your scenes again on another device. No ads, no trackers, no analytics. Dub'Up also plays in the browser, at dubup.app.
What's new · 1.0.3
Share your dubs with subtitles, ready for social media. Anyone at the table can start the reveal, not only the host. Recording is better synced to the picture, and a take interrupted by a call or another screen is no longer lost. The screen stays on during a game, the waiting music changes every game, and the viewer resumes where you paused it. Layout fixes in landscape and with large text, plus many stability improvements.
