MULE: Take It Along the Way

MULE brings together a driver already on the road and an item heading the same way. We are not a courier company. If a trip is happening anyway, the empty space in the car can travel too. The driver makes no profit; they share part of the cost of the road. The item owner finds a cheaper and more human way than a parcel service. START FROM THE MAP See the items along your route on the map. Before you add any of them, see how many kilometres and how many minutes it adds to your trip, and how it changes your cost. THE COST IS IN THE OPEN The cost of the trip is worked out from the real pump price of the day: distance, your car's average consumption, tolls. An item's contribution is what its share of the space is worth, plus the cost of the detour from your route. THE DRIVER CANNOT PROFIT The contributions collected on one trip can never exceed the cost of that trip. On every trip the driver covers at least a quarter of their own cost out of their own pocket. This is not a slogan; it is the arithmetic rule of the app. MULE TAKES NO CUT No commission, no service charge. You agree the contribution between yourselves and settle it between yourselves at hand-over. TRUST Mutual ratings after every trip. Every listing must carry a photo showing what is inside; the parcel is closed in front of your travel companion, so you both know what is being taken along. A single-use code is read out at hand-over. HOW IT WORKS 1. Share your trip: the route you are taking anyway and the free space in your car. 2. See what is along it: the items that fit you, and what each one adds to the road. 3. Share the cost: the contribution is worked out from the day's fuel price. 4. Meet: along the route or by stopping at the address; a code is read at hand-over. MULE is not a transport, courier, parcel or postal service. The arrangement and the payment are directly between users.
