Chess Best Move turns a screenshot of a chess position into the best move, with analysis on your device. It is a study tool: review a game you have finished, work through a puzzle, or examine a position you set up yourself. HOW IT WORKS 1. Take a screenshot of the position you want to look at. 2. Open Chess Best Move. With Full Access to Photos, new chess screenshots are recognized automatically. Or choose a picture from Photos, paste or drag it in. 3. The app finds the board in the picture, reads all 64 squares, and works out which way the board faces and whose turn it is. 4. Unclear squares are marked so you can check the position before analysis. You can correct a square, set the side to move, flip the board, or build a position by hand. 5. Unlimited users get automatic analysis; others tap Analyze. The default search is 3 seconds, with 1, 5, 10 and 30-second options. 6. See the best move as an arrow on the board, with the move in standard algebraic notation, the evaluation and the engine's main line. ON YOUR DEVICE The recognition model and Stockfish 19 run on your iPhone or iPad. Your picture is never uploaded, nothing is sent to a server, and the app needs no network connection and no account. Nothing is tracked and there is no advertising. Running the same position again at a longer think time costs nothing. IN THE APP - A position editor with a full piece palette, for fixing a misread square or setting a position up by hand. - The evaluation as a bar beside the board and as a number in pawns, or as the distance to mate. - The engine's main line in standard algebraic notation, with the search depth it reached. - A screenshot shortcut for Siri, Control Center, the Action button or Back Tap. - Boards and pieces match screenshots by default, with fixed styles available in Settings. - Full VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, Increase Contrast and Reduce Motion support. - Light and dark appearance. FAIR PLAY Please respect fair-play rules: most chess sites do not allow engine help in games you are playing. ANALYSES AND PRICES The first three analyses are free. After that, choose: - Pro Weekly, 5.99 US dollars per week: unlimited analyses. - Pro Yearly, 39.99 US dollars per year: unlimited analyses. - Pro Lifetime, 59.99 US dollars once: unlimited analyses, not a subscription. If you close the purchase screen after running out, the app may also offer 15 Analyses, a one-time purchase of 2.99 US dollars for fifteen analyses that never expire. The October launch offer has ended for new users. Customers who already received free unlimited access keep it. Pro Weekly and Pro Yearly are auto-renewable subscriptions to Chess Best Move Pro, which gives unlimited analyses for as long as it is active. Pro Weekly costs 5.99 US dollars for each one-week period. Pro Yearly costs 39.99 US dollars for each one-year period. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. A subscription renews automatically at the same price for the same period, unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel a subscription in Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions. Pro Lifetime and the 15-analysis pack are one-time purchases and never renew.
