About

Build a planet. Run its climate. Watch its weather. Paleo Planet Sim runs real research models on worlds you design. Choose a division: Earth-like keeps every setting inside what Earth itself has been through; Extreme opens everything the model can survive. Set the sun, the greenhouse, the tilt, the length of the day and the depth of the ocean, then pick a geography: Earth, Pangea and other ancient Earths, an all-ocean world, a supercontinent, or paint your own continents with the terrain brush (Apple Pencil supported). Launch it and a real climate model runs 45 simulated years in the cloud while you do something else. You'll get a notification when it finishes, usually in 1.5 to 3.5 hours. Explore the result on a 3-D globe: temperature, biomes, terrain, snow and rain, month by month, with a magnifier to read any spot. See the records your planet set, its climate charts and maps, and compare any two planets side by side. Then make weather. Pick a moment from your planet's own history and run a real weather model for 5, 10 or 15 days. Watch clouds, rain and snow, wind, the jet stream and tropical cyclones move across your globe and map. Every valid planet is ranked on the leaderboards, with gold, silver and bronze for each record. Time-limited challenges set one goal, one deadline and in-app prizes. Looking is free: spin the reference planets, play their forecasts and browse every board. Runs use credits. You start with 5; a planet is 1 credit and a forecast is 1 per 5 days. Prices are always shown before you launch. Made by a PhD atmospheric scientist.
