About
Your iPhone records video in HDR. On your phone it looks stunning — everywhere else it can look grey, flat and washed out. Tonely fixes that. It converts HDR video into standard-range video that looks the way you expect on any screen, and it shows you exactly what will change before you commit. • SEE THE DIFFERENCE FIRST — drag the slider on the before/after preview to compare the washed-out version with the converted one, using your own footage • PROPER TONE MAPPING, NOT A RE-TAG — bright skies and highlights are rolled off so they keep their detail instead of blowing out to flat white. Simply relabelling a file as SDR is what makes it look grey; this does the actual conversion • DOLBY VISION AND HLG — both detected automatically. Video that is already standard range is left alone, and the app says so rather than re-encoding it for nothing • HDR PHOTOS TOO — flattens the gain map so a photo looks the same wherever it lands • BATCH — convert a whole set in one go Everything happens on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
