Coat Peg is how a nursery tells families about their child's day. Staff post a photo and a sentence from the room, on the iPad already on the shelf. Tag the children it was about and it reaches their families - once, at teatime, as a single message rather than a notification every time somebody picks up a camera. The everyday jobs are in the same place: the register, meals, nappies and sleeps, accident records, medication, observations against the areas of learning, and the notice board. Switch on what your setting uses. Anything you don't use never appears in the room. Built for a shared device in a loud room. A member of staff unlocks with a four-digit PIN, does the thing, and hands over. Nobody signs in and out.
