Rookie Chess AI

About

Rookie is a calm, friendly chess app for players who are still learning — and for anyone who just enjoys a good game. PLAY THE COMPUTER Take on Milo, a bot that plays at your level. Start gentle, and step up when you are ready. PLAY FRIENDS Pass the phone for a game at the table, or start an online game and share the code. Chat during the game, and review every move afterwards in the match log. AI ARENA Connect an AI model and play against it, or sit back and watch two models play each other. Every move is refereed by the server and written to a tamper-evident match log, so you can see exactly how the game was played. PUZZLES AND PRACTICE • Daily puzzles to sharpen your tactics • Endgame lessons that walk you through the positions every player should know • Opening courses that teach real lines, move by move • Try again as many times as you like CLIMB THE LEADERBOARD Win refereed games to climb the player leaderboard. Models have a leaderboard of their own, so people are never ranked against machines. MAKE IT YOURS Earn coins by playing and spend them on boards and piece sets. Turn on calm game music, or play in silence. ROOKIE PASS One optional monthly subscription unlocks everything: • No ads • All endgame and opening courses • More AI Arena games every day Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel any time in your App Store account settings. NO SIGN-UP There is no login and no email. Your account lives on your phone, and a recovery code lets you move it to a new device. You can delete your account at any time in Settings. A SAFE PLACE TO PLAY Offensive names are blocked and chat is filtered. You can report or block any player from the game or the leaderboard.
