NextLight: Aurora, Fall & Sun

About

Notice the days that feel different with NextLight. Explore the sky above you and the seasons changing around you, with calm visuals and useful forecasts for your place. TODAY Start with a moment that matters near you: golden light, a changing Moon, a promising night sky, or a season drawing closer. See what is happening now and what is coming next across Sky and Earth. SKY Explore Sun Light, Aurora, Stars, and Moon. Move an interactive globe through the day's golden-hour and blue-hour windows. View NOAA aurora model data alongside local viewing conditions. Explore a star-filled sky with clouds tied to the available forecast, or turn the 3D Moon and follow its changing phases. EARTH Follow fall color, spring growth, and the arrival of blooms on interactive globes. Explore the changing map and seasonal graphs. Blooms includes early- and late-spring schedules. Fall color estimates are experimental, and weather can shift the timing. Spring and bloom maps show modeled seasonal onset, not a live inventory of flowers or a prediction for every species. Source notes and coverage details are available in the app. YOUR PLACES Save a U.S. home location and up to four additional places, or use Current Spot for a one-time location check. Switch places from Today and manage them in Settings. A saved home works without device-location permission. Customize Home Screen widgets with the moments you care about and open Today with a tap. No account is required. No ads. Forecasts can change. Aurora guidance is not a sighting guarantee or a probability. Clouds, terrain, moonlight, and light pollution affect what you can see. Optional reminders and alerts depend on permissions, available data, and delivery conditions.
