Tonalyn Music

About

Tonalyn helps you play music by ear. Play along with a song, and Tonalyn gives you a little guidance while you find the key and the chords yourself. FREE PLAY Tap Guess the key and play notes on the on-screen piano or a connected MIDI keyboard. The home note lights up gold, other notes in the key turn green, and your recent notes appear in the note trail. Turn guessing off whenever you just want to play. CHORDS Start listening while music plays nearby. Tonalyn shows the chords it hears, section by section, with the keys to play under each chord, so you can follow along on the piano. RECORD Record your own playing and find it later in Song History under Recordings. SONG HISTORY AND LEAD SHEETS Every song you listen to is saved in Song History. Open a saved chart as a lead sheet in Real Book or Clean style, print it or share it as a PDF, or export the chords as MIDI. SONG LIBRARY Browse the Song Library of shared chord charts. Sign in with Google to sync your songs and Song Library charts across iPhone, iPad and Mac. Signing in is optional, and you can delete your account in the app at any time. TONALYN CHORDS PLUG-IN Add the Tonalyn Chords plug-in to an audio track in GarageBand or Logic to see chords live and save them as MIDI. Try the built-in demo, an original practice loop, without playing any music. The microphone is used only while listening is on.
