Samurai Zen is a quiet meditation app: guided practices, timed breathwork and slow sleep stories, narrated at a deliberately unhurried pace and set against sumi-e ink paintings. WHAT'S INSIDE • Guided practices that run from a short morning sit to a long, slow sleep story — choose by how much time you have • Breathing patterns with spoken cues you can follow with your eyes closed — box breath, 4-7-8, and an energising cycle • An ambient mixer: layer cedar wind, a distant temple bell and night rain beneath the narration, each at whatever level suits you • Download any practice and listen with no signal • One gentle daily reminder, at a time you choose YOUR PROGRESS Minutes, sessions and an honest streak. Five gates mark the path from a first sit to a settled habit. Nothing is inflated — the numbers only ever reflect what you actually practised. PRIVACY, PLAINLY You can use the entire app without an account. Do that and nothing leaves your phone. Sign in only if you want your practice to follow you to another device. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking of any kind. THE IDEAS BEHIND IT The scripts draw on zanshin, the awareness that remains after an action is finished; mushin, a mind that lets thoughts pass without following them; and fudoshin, steadiness that is not rigid.
