Miqāt: Salah & Qibla

About

Miqāt is a calm, transparent prayer-time companion designed with privacy at its core. Check the five daily prayer times and sunrise, see the next prayer at a glance, find the Qibla, browse Gregorian and Umm al-Qura Hijri dates, and keep upcoming times on your Home Screen or Lock Screen. CLEAR CALCULATIONS • Choose from 11 commonly used calculation parameter sets. • Select the Majority or Hanafi Asr rule. • Review the city, method, calculated start, and any manual adjustment. • Keep high-latitude handling and calculation choices visible. • See sunrise clearly identified as a reference time, not a prayer. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account. • No ads or advertising identifier. • No third-party analytics. • No server for prayer calculations or push notifications. • Miqāt stores your optional latest location snapshot and preferences locally and does not send them to the developer or a server. • Choose a city manually and use the app without Location permission. REMINDERS YOU CONTROL • Set an alert at the calculated start or a preparation reminder beforehand. • On supported iOS versions, optionally use Prayer Alarms with separate system permission. • Hide the prayer name on supported Lock Screen surfaces. • All schedules are created locally on your device. Standard notifications remain subject to iOS notification, Focus, sound, power, and device settings. QIBLA AND CALENDAR • Calculate the Qibla bearing from true north. • See compass accuracy and interference guidance. • View Gregorian and Umm al-Qura Hijri dates with an adjustable local-day correction. • See Fridays marked without automatically replacing Dhuhr with Jumu’ah. YOUR MOSQUE, KEPT SEPARATE Add user-entered Iqama times or offsets from your local mosque. Calculated prayer-time entry and mosque Iqama remain clearly separated. Mosque information is stored locally and is never presented as verified or official. WIDGETS See the next prayer and countdown on supported Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets. The widget receives only the minimal on-device configuration needed to calculate and display prayer times. Prayer times can differ by calculation method, settings, and local practice. Review the selected method and compare with a trusted local source when needed. The Qibla bearing is calculated from your selected location; live compass guidance can be affected by device sensors and nearby metal objects. Calculated Hijri dates may differ from local moon-sighting announcements. Available in English and Arabic, with right-to-left layout, Eastern Arabic or Latin numerals, 12- or 24-hour time, VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, and light or dark appearance.
