The Duck Boutique. Every duck in your Pond Book now has a wardrobe: hats, specs, scarves, jumpers and wellies in five slots, worn on the map, in the Pond Book, in portraits and on postcards. The Boutique puts a new shelf out every Monday, with seasonal collections and a few dated Limited pieces, all bought with Ducats at the price shown. Nothing you wear changes how a duck is befriended. Waymarks. Libraries, railway stations, bandstands, statues, town halls, museums, bridges, castles and places of worship now work like ponds, so a town centre has as much to find as a park. The Waymark Book stamps each kind you visit and earns its piece after three visit days. Places of worship are visited from the path, and any stop can be hidden. Your Home Pond. A pond of your own in the Pond Book, with your ducks paddling about in their outfits under the real sky and weather, and twelve spots to decorate. Eggs for Ducats. A Pond Egg or Seasonal Egg hatches one of the ducks you've already befriended, and the odds for every duck and every plumage are shown before you buy. A Species Egg hatches exactly the duck you choose. Best Dressed. A theme each week; dress a duck to match and take its portrait for a medal, a few Ducats and a stamp. The reward comes from the portrait, never from sharing it. Also: plumage tiers for every duck (the rarest are gilded, with a glow), a wardrobe and colours for your walker, postcard frames and stickers, a wool basket that knits as you walk, favourite ponds with a name and trims, Vintage and Night map styles with footprint trails, name tags for your ducks, pieces behind Advent doors, a Pass-only piece every month with 10% off the Boutique, and your progress now syncs through your own iCloud. There's a duck around the corner. Go and say hello. Duckabout puts ducks on a real map of wherever you are. Walk to one, tap it, and there it is, through your camera, waddling about on the path in front of you. Flick a slice of bread. If it likes you, it joins your Pond Book. If it doesn't, try a seed cake. Some of them are fussy. TWELVE DUCKS TO MEET Mallards and Tufted Ducks on every pond. Teal that leave the moment you blink. A Runner Duck that runs. A Mandarin with no modesty. An Eider down by the coast. A Rubber Duck that nobody can explain. And once in a very long while, the Golden Duck. Every one of them drawn by hand, every one with its own quack. REAL PONDS, REAL WALKS Parks, ponds, lakes, canals and fountains near you become places to feed the ducks. Visit one for bread, sometimes seed cake, sometimes an egg. Eggs hatch as you walk: two kilometres for a common duck, ten for something rare. Your buddy duck waddles beside you on the map and finds feathers along the way. SOMETHING EVERY DAY Three small quests each morning. A streak for every day you meet a duck.
