About
One passage from the Stoics, once a day. Aurelius opens on a single passage — from Marcus Aurelius, Seneca or Epictetus — and nothing else. Read it, think it over, keep it or move on. Tomorrow there is a new one. WHAT'S INSIDE • 365 passages, one for every day of the year, drawn from Meditations, Seneca's letters and essays, and Epictetus' Discourses and Enchiridion • Ten themes to browse: virtue, wisdom, courage, justice, temperance, impermanence, mindfulness, adversity, emotions and action • Search the whole collection by word, by author or by theme • Save the ones that land, and group them into collections of your own • Share a passage with whoever you like • An optional daily reminder, at a time you pick • Five languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian and German • Works offline — the whole library ships inside the app • No account and no sign-up. What you save stays on your device THE THREE VOICES Marcus Aurelius wrote Meditations as private notes to himself while running an empire. Epictetus taught for decades, first in Rome and later in Nicopolis, and his students wrote down what he said. Seneca wrote letters to a friend about anger, money, friendship and how short time is. Between them they left the most practical writing the ancient world produced. ABOUT THE TEXT Every passage comes from a public-domain translation of a classical source, attributed to its author and, where it is known, to the work it came from. No modern paraphrases and no quotes of uncertain origin. Aurelius is free. A small banner ad pays for it.
