From a shell picked up on the beach to a whale or shark you saw at the aquarium. Switch between volumes, and on-device AI suggests the closest matches from your photo and saves them to your guide. TWO VOLUMES - Shells: write-ups for 114 species of shells, land snails from around the world, crabs, sea slugs and tide-pool life. 63 of them can be identified from a photo. - Sea Creatures: 81 species including whales, dolphins, sharks, crabs, hermit crabs, sea slugs, sea stars, sea cucumbers and seaweed. The guide, photo ID, quiz and your records switch with each volume. NO FALSE CONFIDENCE - Up to three candidates, never one flat answer. - Each one comes with a confidence level (close match / similar / possibly similar). - When confidence is low, no candidates are shown and the app says the photo may be outside this guide. - The same photo always gives the same answer. Results are an observation reference, not a definite identification. READ IT WITHOUT A CAMERA Every write-up is original: appearance, how to tell lookalikes apart, habits, a fun fact and observation tips, each with a cited source. Reading the guide is free. STAY SAFE Do not take protected or living creatures home without checking local rules. Do not touch spiny or toothed animals with bare hands; watch from a little distance.
