Dollar Yen Camera

About

Read US prices in yen, work out the bill, understand a menu, and keep booking documents together. POINT AND CONVERT Open Convert and allow the camera. Bring a price such as $12.99 into view to see an approximate yen amount. Pause to inspect prices, use the flashlight, or enter an amount manually. Always compare OCR results with the original tag. RATES AND OFFLINE USE Choose a published rate on or before yesterday, or enter your own yen-per-dollar rate. Frankfurter supplies reference rates, not live market quotes. Holidays may return an earlier date. A saved rate and warning appear if retrieval fails. Set a manual rate before going offline. BILL SUPPORT Scan a receipt, import a photo or file, or enter amounts. Confirm subtotal, tax, and total before applying OCR results. Adjust the tip base, percentage, and party size to see the total and each person's share. Check included service charges and avoid tipping twice. Estimates do not determine the actual amount charged. MENU EXPLANATIONS Scan English menu text to consult an offline glossary of dishes and cooking terms. Unknown dishes are not invented. Optional English-to-Japanese translation uses Apple's on-device translation on iOS 18 or later, with an initial language download. Descriptions are general and cannot verify actual ingredients or allergen safety: ask the restaurant. BOOKING POCKET Save a booking title, date, place, reference, notes, and image or PDF attachments. Reopen saved documents offline. This does not make or amend bookings or fetch live travel updates. Deletion asks for confirmation. Keep an independent copy of important documents. REQUIREMENTS AND SUPPORT iPhone with iOS 17 or later; full-text translation requires iOS 18 or later. Japanese and English interfaces. Free, with no ads, purchases, or account. Email your device, iOS version, and steps to reproduce a problem. Redact personal details from booking documents. PRIVACY Images, audio, and text are processed on-device, not uploaded to developer servers. See the privacy policy for Apple services and any external requests. Price conversion excludes tax, tips, and payment/exchange fees. Bill support includes only confirmed amounts and the chosen tip.
