NovaSpiegel Progress Photo

About

Change is hard to spot in the mirror. You only see it when today's photo sits next to one from three months ago — and that only works if both were taken exactly the same way. That's what NovaSpiegel does. When you shoot, your last photo appears semi-transparent over the viewfinder. You line yourself up until it matches, then tap. Your angle, distance, and posture stay consistent over months. THE GHOST IMAGE • Your last shot from the series overlays the viewfinder • Use the slider to control how much it shows — from invisible to 80% • Guide lines match your subject: center line and eye level for faces, center line and thirds for body • Front or back camera; or load an image from your photos instead SERIES, NOT A PILE OF PICTURES • One series per subject: face, body, hair, a patch of skin, or anything else • Each shot with a date, plus an optional note and weight • Weight is optional and appears only as a label on the image — NovaSpiegel doesn't calculate or judge it COMPARE • Two shots stacked, slider reveals the top one • Or side by side, if you prefer • Pick any two dates, with the day count between them • Time-lapse: all images from a series as a short video to save or share REMINDERS Daily, weekly, every two weeks, or monthly — you choose per series. A local notification on this device, no server in the background. IT STAYS ON YOUR IPHONE Progress photos are the most personal thing on your phone. NovaSpiegel is built so they can't leave: no server, no account, no sign-up, no transfer — not even anonymous ones. Your images live in the app folder and are excluded from iCloud backup. Time-lapse videos are created on-device. The app needs no internet; only your purchase goes through the App Store. There's no artificial intelligence looking at your photo. NovaSpiegel doesn't judge you, measure you, or tell you how you should look. It puts two shots side by side — you see the rest yourself. PAY ONCE, NO SUBSCRIPTION Free, you get two series with ten shots each — one photo per week carries you through two months. A single purchase unlocks three things: unlimited series, unlimited shots per series, and time-lapse video. No monthly fee — an app with no server has no ongoing costs to charge rent for. NovaSpiegel is a camera with memory. It makes no promises about your looks, weight, or skin and doesn't replace medical advice.
