About

What you wrote is still there. Paperkept is a journal that keeps what you put in it. There is no account to be logged out of and no server to lose it — your journal lives on this device, encrypted, and nothing you write is sent anywhere. Your writing, kept Every keystroke goes to the disk as it is typed. Close the app mid-sentence, kill it from the app switcher, come back a week later: the words are there. Free forever, including if you stop paying Writing, and as many entries as you like · Reading every entry you have ever written · Full-text search · On this day, from earlier years · Your year, counted: entries, words, days written on, the fullest month · One daily reminder, at a time you choose, that never quotes what you wrote · Export of everything, at any time. A real lock, and it is free Face ID, Touch ID, and a six-digit passcode of your own that the device passcode cannot open. Asked when you open the journal and after you have been away. The lock is the reason most people come here, so it is not something we charge for. A subscription adds Dictation — speak and it becomes text, transcribed on this device. The audio never leaves the phone and no recording is kept · Photographs inside your entries · More than one notebook, to keep work and dreams apart, each able to take a passcode of its own · A shape for a notebook, so every entry starts the same way: gratitude, three lines, morning pages · Cream and slate paper, and a reading serif · Your journal as a printable book — a PDF with a cover, a contents page and your photographs in place · A daily copy into a folder you choose, which a second device can catch up from. Nothing is ever taken away Stop paying and the subscription stops adding — it takes nothing back. Photographs already in your entries stay there and stay in your exports; notebooks you made stay readable and searchable. Take it with you, always Export everything — entries and photographs — into one plain Markdown file, and read it back in whenever you like. Import from Day One, Journey and most other journals. Exporting is free forever, including after a subscription ends: your own words are never behind a paywall. What it does not do No AI reads your entries. No account. No cloud of ours. No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers. No mood scores, no streaks, and no wellbeing claims — this is a journal, never therapy. Subscriptions Yearly and monthly subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends in your Apple Account settings. The yearly plan starts with a two-week free trial. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ Privacy Policy: https://paperkept.com/privacy.html
