Ora! VerseLock

About

Ora! VerseLock turns Scripture from a thing you mean to get to into a rhythm you can actually keep. Choose a daily pace, and VerseLock spreads the day's verses across your waking hours. Read in the app, carry the current verse on your Lock Screen, and tap Amen to confirm a card. The clock turns through the day's unread cards at your pace; Amen takes a card out of today's rotation. THE WHOLE BIBLE All 73 books of the Catholic canon, bundled offline in the World English Bible, Catholic edition. Read Genesis to Revelation, choose Interwoven to pair Old Testament chapters with related New Testament passages, or follow Today’s Readings from the USCCB lectionary calendar alongside your Bible rhythm. BIBLE AND CATECHISM, EACH AT YOUR PACE Turn on the optional Baltimore Catechism track to read its 1,400 questions and answers alongside Scripture. This is the original 1891 No. 3 edition. A separate CCC companion offers paragraph references and links to the Vatican website; full CCC text is not included offline. Each track has its own daily target, start date, reading progress, and way to pick up where you left off. Read a card, tap Amen, explore its context, or save it to Favorites. LOCK SCREEN AND HOME SCREEN Keep Scripture close with Parchment, Midnight, and Illuminated widget styles. Home Screen widgets can show Bible or Catechism readings; Lock Screen widgets carry the Bible track. Choose your font and treatment. Confirm a card with the widget check mark without opening the app, or use the gold cross to save it to Favorites and confirm it. VERSELINK AND CONTEXT Explore related Bible passages through OpenBible.info cross-references, curated themes, and traditional fruits. Context helps you see the surrounding verses and read the whole chapter. PRAYERS A catalogue of Catholic prayers with Morning and Night rhythms, intentions, and a private Examen journal that stays on your device. BEFORE APPS (OPTIONAL) With your Screen Time permission, choose apps that should first show Scripture or prayer. The Scripture pause presents up to three verses, one page and one Amen at a time. Finishing opens that app for its own grace window while other chosen apps stay shielded. Set each app to Scripture or Prayer; the prayer opens on one Amen. Turn interruptions off any time. PROGRESS WITHOUT PRESSURE See Displayed and Confirmed counts: what the clock has shown and what you have acknowledged with Amen. Tap Amen again on a read card to put it back into the day. Bible and Catechism progress stay separate, so you can adjust one rhythm without losing the other. No streaks, no scores, no notifications, no app account, and no tracking. SUBSCRIPTION VerseLock is free to download. An auto-renewing subscription provides access to the full reading rhythm, widgets, prayers, and optional app interruptions. Choose monthly or yearly. Eligible new subscribers can try the ordinary monthly plan free for 7 days; it then renews at the displayed monthly price unless canceled. Yearly plans do not include a free trial. In supported countries and on compatible devices, a yearly plan paid monthly carries a 12-month payment commitment. Prices and available plans appear in the app and vary by country or region. Manage or cancel renewal in your Apple Account subscription settings. Restore Purchases is available in the app. Privacy: https://itssogood.co/apps/verselock/privacy/ Terms of Use: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ Part of the Ora! collection by So Good, Ltd.
