What does your dinosaur sound like? What if it ate all the cookies? LetPod is a little sound studio for children. Record a roar, a silly voice, a joke or a story. Keep your favorite short recordings as sound stickers, then put them into your own audio shows. No script to read, no drawing to finish, and no video timing to follow. A QUESTION A DAY Every day the home screen asks one small question: What was the funniest thing today? Tap it and answer in your own words. There is no right answer and nothing is scored. The next recording is the answer; after that the studio goes back to free recording. Keep a short answer in My Sounds and it is labeled with the question and the date it was recorded. A LETTER TO FUTURE ME Some questions are letters: say something to your grown-up self, or cheer on your future self. When a short answer is kept in My Sounds, that copy is put in an envelope for one year. The envelope shows its opening date, and the copy cannot be played or added to a show until then. The recording inside the show you are making stays as it is and can still be played. When the day comes, the home screen announces that a letter has arrived. A grown-up can open a letter early from the parent area. The date follows the device calendar: it is a playful wait, not a lock. MY OWN SOUNDS Hold to record and release to stop. A star appears on a new recording of up to 10 seconds: tap it, pick a picture, and keep the clip in My Sounds. You can keep up to 30 sounds and reuse one in different shows. Your sounds also wait on the home screen, one tap to hear. Longer recordings stay in the show as ordinary voice blocks. BUILD A SHOW Hear each new recording play back once; a grown-up can turn this off. Choose a picture for your show's cover without typing a title. Not sure what to record? Idea cards offer a start. Record a question, add your dinosaur sound, then record its answer. Arrange voice and sound-effect blocks in order, listen to the whole sequence, and finish your show. Removed a block by mistake? Tap Undo to put it back. One child can play every part. Nothing is graded. COME BACK TO IT Stop whenever you like: every unfinished show is kept under Not Finished on My Shows until you delete it. Tap the three-dot button on a finished show, or swipe it, to edit it, make a new version, rename it, or put it in the recycle bin. A new version keeps the original safe. LISTEN AGAIN Finished shows live on My Shows and can be shared as audio files by a grown-up. There is room for 20 shows of two minutes each by default. A grown-up can restore recycled shows within seven days. A deleted unfinished show cannot be restored. RECORD TOGETHER, TOO The family recording cards are another way to play: a child teaches an English word, and a grandparent teaches it back in Taiwanese Hokkien. You do not need a second person to use the sound studio. MADE FOR LITTLE HANDS Large recording controls, pictures for sounds, and simple blocks keep the focus on listening and creating. Finishing a show of three blocks or more earns a sound gem, a new built-in sound effect; a grown-up can open them all. Your own recorded sounds never need to be unlocked. FOR GROWN-UPS Recording, sound storage and audio production work on the device, without accounts, advertising, speech recognition or cloud processing. We collect no data. Recordings are stored only in the app on this device. There is no cloud sync, so deleting the app deletes them. Sharing a finished show is a grown-up action behind the parental gate; once shared, the file is handled by the destination the grown-up chose. LetPod is free, with no purchases of any kind. The voice, the funny noises, the story: all theirs.
