Chinese Class Companion

About

Chinese Class Companion (知多少) works with the textbook you already have. Photograph a passage or vocabulary list from your own class material, and the app typesets it into a clean reading page you can actually study from. Most Mandarin apps hand you a fixed curriculum. This one follows your syllabus. Your library is organized Class > Unit > Chapter, so what you see on screen matches what your teacher assigned this week. CHINESE FIRST, SUPPORT WHEN YOU NEED IT Pinyin and English are independent toggles. Read the characters on their own, turn on pinyin when a word stalls you, check the English only to confirm. Nothing is forced into the page. HEAR IT, THEN SAY IT Reference read-aloud plays sentence by sentence at speeds from 0.75x to 1.5x. Record yourself reading the same sentence and compare it directly against the reference to hear where your tones drift. COLLECT THE WORDS THAT SLOW YOU DOWN Tap any word in a passage to flag it. Flagged words gather in My Words, where you can review them in flashcard mode or leave them until you are ready. TEST ON YOUR OWN MATERIAL Chapter and unit tests are built from the vocabulary you captured, not from a generic word list. Quiz yourself before class, not on words your course never covered. A QUIET RECORD OF PROGRESS The home dashboard picks up where you stopped reading and shows words flagged and mastered along with weekly reading minutes. Enough to see whether the work is happening, without turning study into a game. BUILT FOR STUDENTS AND THE PARENTS HELPING THEM Whether you are preparing for a weekly quiz, keeping up with a university course, or sitting with a younger student going through a chapter, Chinese Class Companion stays close to the material in front of you. Photograph your first chapter and start reading.
