LureColorCam: Read the Water

About

Point your camera at the water and tap once. The app reads the water's hue, saturation and brightness in a fixed spot, then suggests three lure colors with one plain line explaining why. Every angler knows the rule of thumb: bright day, natural bait; stained water, chartreuse. This app turns that folklore into a ten-second habit before you tie on a bass lure, crankbait or soft plastic. READ THE WATER - The camera reads hue, saturation and brightness at a fixed spot - Tap to lock exposure so glare does not fool the reading - Sorts the water as clear, stained or muddy, in bright or low light GET A COLOR, NOT A LECTURE - Three suggested lure colors, best first - One short line saying why KEEP A FISHING LOG - Save each reading with a place note and target fish - Spot patterns such as "this lake runs stained after rain" LEARN THE CHART - The full water-by-light color matrix, readable offline GOOD FOR - Bass fishing from shore or boat - Switching colors when the water changes after rain - Comparing what you picked with what you caught in your log Suggestions are rules of thumb built from common angling practice, a way to choose with intent and never a guarantee of catches. Readings and logs stay on your iPhone.
