It is a 1-month auto-renewing subscription: payment is charged to your Apple Account when the free month ends, and it renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel at any time in your Apple Account settings; cancel during the free month and you won't be charged.
