Dictum — Quotes

About

One quote on your lock screen. That is all Dictum does. You choose where the quotes come from: philosophy and Stoicism, science, fairy tales, classic books, courage, silence, truth — or specific people. You choose how they look: five typefaces, fourteen quote styles, three places on the lock screen. And you choose when they change: every quarter hour, hourly, daily, or only when you turn the page yourself. THREE PLACES • Above the clock — one line beside the date • Below the clock — two or three lines with the name • Round — a short quote in a circle YOUR SELECTION • Over 3,900 quotes in five languages • Categories you can look into before choosing • Well-known people as their own filter • Collections broken down to the individual work • Write your own quotes — they stand among the others YOUR QUOTE • Five typefaces drawn for screens: Libre Baskerville, EB Garamond, Newsreader, Lora, Inter • Fourteen quote styles, from classically centred to fragment • Preview on a real lock screen, not on a symbolic image WITHOUT ANYTHING ELSE No account. No ads. No subscription. No analytics. Dictum sends nothing and receives nothing — the app needs no internet connection. What you choose and what you write stays on your device. ABOUT THE TEXTS All quotes come from public domain sources: the authors died before 1956, the works appeared before 1931. Translations from other languages are our own renderings, not existing editions. Buy once. No subscription, no in-app purchases.
