Board Ready: Cosmetology Exam

About

Board Ready is an iPhone app for cosmetology students preparing for the written state board exam, the NIC National Cosmetology Theory Examination that most states use. It has 986 practice questions, a full 110-question timed mock exam and flashcards, and when you miss a question it names the misconception behind your answer and drills it. Free to download; Board Ready Pro is an optional subscription. WHEN YOU GET IT WRONG, YOU LEARN WHY • Tap "Why?" on any missed question and see your specific error named — not a generic explanation, YOUR mistake • Every wrong answer option was built from a real misconception the exam is designed to catch • One tap launches a 5-question drill on that exact mistake BUILT FOR YOUR STATE'S REAL EXAM • Weighted to the NIC National Cosmetology Theory Examination blueprint: Hair Care 45%, Scientific Concepts 35%, Skin 10%, Nails 10% • Most states use the NIC exam — if yours does, this is that exam: 110 questions, 90 minutes • Full exam simulation: 110 questions on a 90-minute clock, no feedback until the end, scored like the real thing • Quick 20-question mocks for shift breaks STUDY THAT ADAPTS TO YOU • Honest readiness band — we never show fake precision • Spaced-repetition review queue: missed questions return right before you'd forget them • Flashcards two ways: key terms, and "Exam Traps" built from the mistake library • Daily plan paced to your actual exam date, with a streak to keep you moving EVERYTHING WORKS OFFLINE Questions, explanations, drills, cards, and mocks all work without internet — study anywhere. FAIR, CLEAR PRICING Free: starter questions with full mistake-naming. Board Ready Pro unlocks every question, the drills and the full timed mocks — cancel anytime in under a minute from Settings. A right answer alone doesn't fix the misunderstanding behind a wrong one. Board Ready is built around that. Studying from Milady or Pivot Point? Board Ready drills the same NIC theory your textbook covers — and when you miss, it names the misconception behind the wrong answer instead of just marking it red. Board Ready is an independent study app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Milady, Cengage, or Pivot Point.
