About
Soft on the eyes, warmth for the soul. Evening Reader is a reading app drawn in one color. Every surface (the page, the type, the pictures, the controls) comes from a single amber ramp, so the screen reads as a lit panel rather than a phone. Turn the warmth up toward orange or down toward beige, dim the glow for a dark room, set the contrast, and flip to night: amber ink on near-black. Save the settings you like as presets and switch between them in a tap. SAVE ANYTHING Share a page to Evening Reader from Safari or any app, paste a link, or open a book. Articles are stripped to their text and pictures and set in the reader's type, with your choice of face, size, leading and column width. PDFs keep their pages. EPUB books arrive with their cover, their chapters and a table of contents. READ OFFLINE Everything you save is downloaded and kept: the text, the pictures, the whole book. What you saved on the train is there on the plane. YOUR LIBRARY, AS FOLDERS The library is plain folders, one per article, holding the text, the pictures and a Markdown copy, synced through your own iCloud Drive and readable in Files or on a Mac. Two devices never overwrite each other, and nothing you save is locked inside the app. MARK AND KEEP Select a passage to highlight it, add a note, look up a word, search for it, or ask about it on-device with Apple Intelligence. Every highlight across the library is gathered on one page, and tapping one takes you back to the passage. FIND YOUR PLACE A hairline shows how far you are; a scrubber turns pages or scrolls the whole book. The front page opens on what you were reading and what just arrived. Reading progress follows you between devices. THE WEB, IN AMBER A built-in browser draws any site on the same panel, your library, your bookshop, a paper, a video, with a tile for each of the places you go on purpose. Built for winding down at the end of the day.
