Sleeve: Offline Music Player

About

The music you actually own is already somewhere — a folder on your phone, a drive in the cloud, a NAS humming in the next room. Sleeve reads it where it is and hands it back as one library. There is no "import" in Sleeve. Nothing is moved, nothing is copied, and no second copy is kept, so connecting a source costs you no storage and your files never drift from the originals. Rename an album at the source and Sleeve follows. It never renames or reorganizes anything itself. ONE LIBRARY, FOUR KINDS OF SOURCE • A folder on this device — anything in Files, including a USB stick or SD card • A cloud drive — iCloud Drive, Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, all through Files • A network share at home over WebDAV — Nextcloud, Synology, QNAP and most NAS boxes • Straight from your computer over the same Wi-Fi, with a browser and no cable LOSSLESS, AND HONEST ABOUT IT • FLAC, ALAC, AAC, MP3, WAV and AIFF, played as they are — nothing is re-encoded • Gapless across an album, so a live record stays one performance • ReplayGain, so tracks from different sources sit at the same loudness • A ten-band equalizer • Format, bit depth and sample rate stay on screen — a 24/96 FLAC says 24/96 YOUR FOLDERS ARE YOUR TAXONOMY • Albums, artists, songs and playlists — or the real folder tree, as deep as it goes • Smart playlists with rules you can edit • Search across titles, artists and albums, with your recent searches kept • Edit tags in place when a file arrived badly labeled • Lyrics matched automatically from LRCLIB, cover art from MusicBrainz and Apple — both optional, both one switch NO ADS. NO ACCOUNT. No third-party advertising or tracking SDKs. Not one line. That is not a setting you turn off; it is a premise of the product. There is no sign-up and no user table, so the app does not know who you are. Play counts, playlists and playback positions stay on your device. WHEN THE NAS IS ASLEEP What you have played from a cloud drive or a network share is kept in a local cache, so it keeps playing off Wi-Fi. You choose the cache size, see what it is using, and clear it whenever you want. SLEEVE PRO Pay yearly, or once and never again. A Universal Purchase across iPhone and iPad. • Connect as many sources as you like — the free version connects one • As many smart playlists as you like — the free version allows two That is the whole of it. Playback, lossless, gapless, ReplayGain, the equalizer, lyrics, artwork and tag editing are in the free version and always will be.
