JPEG and HEIC include quality control and are lossy. PNG preserves alpha only when the result contains transparent pixels. Background choices are visual directions, not a transparency guarantee. Create a validated iOS App Icon ZIP. Its AppIcon.appiconset contains correctly named opaque PNG renditions for standard iPhone notification, Settings, Spotlight, and app sizes, a 1024 × 1024 marketing icon, Contents.json, and README.
